ISMM QCF Level 1 Qualifications

Want to get started in Sales and Marketing?  You can get a government recognised qualification from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.  Level 1 is the place to start and is suitable for you if you meet any of these criteria:

  • You are on a government training scheme such as an Apprenticeship
  • You have no work experience in Sales
  • You have little or no work experience in any field
  • You are looking for a basic grounding in Sales
  • You want a qualification at a level equivalent to GCSE grades D to G or NVQ Level 1
  • You want to be assessed on your ability to use relevant knowledge, skills and procedures to complete routine tasks, taking responsibility for completing tasks subject to direction or guidance.

We offer four small qualifications in Sales and Marketing:

Level 1 Award in Selling lawfully and ethically 1 credit
Level 1 Award in Understanding the sales cycle 3 credits
Level 1 Award in Understanding marketing 2 credits
Level 1 Award in Communication skills in sales 1 credit

We also offer a bigger qualification:

Level 1 Award in Sales and Marketing                                     7 credits

ISMM QCF Level 2 Qualifications

Want to learn about Sales and Marketing?  You can get a government recognised qualification from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.  Level 2 is a good place to start and is suitable for you if you meet any of these criteria:

  • You are in full or part-time education
  • You are on a government training scheme such as an Apprenticeship
  • You are in your first job in Sales or are interested in working in Sales
  • You have little or no work experience in Sales
  • You want to start learning about Sales
  • You want to supplement your Business Studies course
  • You want a qualification at a level equivalent to GCSE grades A* to C, BTEC First or  NVQ level 2
  • You are taking part in Enterprise Week or a business project
  • You want to be assessed on your ability to select and use relevant knowledge, ideas and skills to complete well-defined tasks and address straightforward problems, taking responsibility for completing tasks and exercising autonomy subject to overall guidance or direction.

We offer a choice of seven small qualifications in Sales and Marketing:

Level 2 Award in Understanding laws and ethics of selling 3 credits
Level 2 Award in Understanding marketing 4 credits
Level 2 Award in Understanding buyer behaviour 3 credits
Level 2 Award in Sales targets 2 credits
Level 2 Award in Selling to customers 5 credits
Level 2 Award in Understanding selling to customers 5 credits
Level 2 Award in Telesales 5 credits

We also offer a bigger qualification:

Level 2 Certificate in Sales and Marketing                                                             17 credits

You can start with a small qualification and if you like it, you can take more units and get a bigger qualification

ISMM QCF Level 3 Qualifications

Want to get on in your Sales and Marketing career?  You can get a government recognised qualification from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.  You can start at level 3 if you meet any of these criteria:

  • You are employed in your first or second sales job
  • You want to deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills in selling and marketing
  • You want to build on knowledge and skills to progress up the sales career ladder
  • You have responsibility for a sales account or a sales area
  • You want a qualification at a level equivalent to A-level, BTEC National or NVQ level 3
  • You want to be assessed on your ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to complete tasks and address well-defined problems which have some complexity, taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks.

We offer a choice of ten small qualifications in Sales and Marketing:

Level 3 Award in Preparing and delivering a sales presentation 5 credits
Level 3 Award in Handling objections, negotiating and closing sales 6 credits
Level 3 Award in Understanding influences on buyer behaviour 3 credits
Level 3 Award in Understanding customer segmentation and profiling 4 credits
Level 3 Award in Understanding sales and marketing in organisations 4 credits
Level 3 Award in using market information for sales 5 credits
Level 3 Award in Time and territory management for sales people 6 credits
Level 3 Award in planning for professional development 2 credits
Level 3 Award in Prospecting for new business 4 credits

ISMM QCF Level 4 Qualifications

Are you thinking of moving into sales management or account management?  ISMM qualifications are written by sales experts and are designed to equip you with knowledge and understanding of theories for sales and account management.  They are all recognised by Of equal, the UK examinations regulator.  Level 4 is for you if you meet any of these criteria:

  • You are an aspiring or practicing sales manager
  • You are an aspiring or practicing account manager
  • Your role requires you to manage other people and/or resources
  • You want to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in sales and account management
  • You want a qualification at a level equivalent to first year degree or  Higher National Certificate
  • You want to be assessed on your ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to address problems that are well defined but complex and no routine, taking responsibility for overall courses of action and exercising autonomy and judgement within fairly broad parameters.

We offer a choice of eight bite-size qualifications in Sales and Marketing:
